What does "Waiting for original" mean?

What does “Waiting for original” mean?

If your order status shows “Waiting for original,” it means we’re waiting to receive your original paper prescription before we can send your medication.

Why do we need the original

Unless your prescription is electronic, the law requires us to have the original ink-signed paper copy from your doctor.
We’re unable to dispense or dispatch your medication without this.

What happens next

This status means we’ve already received:
Your payment, and
An electronic copy of your prescription
However, we still need the paper prescription to arrive.
You may need to post it to us, or your prescriber might send it on your behalf.
Once we receive the original, your order status will be updated automatically, and we’ll prepare your medication for delivery.
