At Signature Pharmacy, we follow strict guidelines to ensure the safe and compliant handling of controlled drug (CD) prescriptions. Here’s what you need to know.

Prescription Requirements

Private Prescriptions:

  • Must be issued on an FP10CD form (pink form).

  • We require the original physical copy before dispensing your medication.

NHS Prescriptions:

  • Can be sent electronically via the NHS Spine or issued as a paper FP10 form (green form).

  • For paper-based prescriptions, we require the original physical copy.

Delivery Guidelines

Royal Mail Deliveries:

  • All controlled drug prescriptions are sent via Royal Mail’s signed-for service.

  • Royal Mail does not collect on Sundays. Orders processed after Saturday collection are delivered the following Tuesday.

  • Ensure someone is available to sign for the package. If no one is available, the package will be held by Royal Mail or returned to us.

Same-Day Deliveries:

  • Eligible same-day deliveries are completed on the same day if the order is processed before the cut-off time.

  • On weekends, ensure someone is available to receive the package, as the courier must hand it directly to the recipient.
